The Warsaw Lady Tigers cross country team had a strong showing in the Chuck Schlemmer Elite Varsity Girls Race at the Marion Invite, finishing 7th out of 16 teams with a total score of 226 points. The Tigers impressed with eight personal records (PRs) during the varsity race, showcasing their hard work and dedication.
Leading the Tigers was Sammi Rastrelli, who placed first for the team and 20th overall with a PR time of 19:18.8. Ella Laput followed as the second Tiger across the line, finishing in 20:19.4. Bryce Eherenman came in third for Warsaw, setting a PR with a time of 20:43.5. Aubrey Bricker, the fourth Tiger to finish, also ran a PR with a time of 20:55.6, while Stephanie Malagon completed the team scoring with a PR time of 20:57.7.
In addition to the scoring runners, several other Tigers had notable performances. Katie Robertson posted a PR of 20:58.8, Annie Parker ran a season-best 21:21.0, Kyla Transparenti set a PR with a time of 21:28.1, and Hannah Fisher ran a PR of 21:28.5. Nadia Patton earned a PR of 22:19.0, Kaelyn Stoffel posted a season-best 22:44.8, and Bronwyn Poch rounded out the group with a PR of 22:49.3.
The Warsaw Lady Tigers continued their streak of impressive performances, securing a 6th place finish in the combined JV race while posting a remarkable number of personal records (PRs). The Tigers recorded 6 PRs in the JV race, contributing to a total of 16 PRs and 7 season-best times across both varsity and JV races.
Lucy Andrew led the way for the Tigers, finishing first for the team with a PR time of 22:38.4. Close behind was Airyana Bradley, who also set a PR with a time of 22:47.3. Neko Ewert (23:05.2) and Savannah Purdy (23:14.1) both ran PRs to place third and fourth for the Tigers, respectively. Rounding out the scoring for Warsaw was Olivia Martinez, who recorded a PR of 23:46.1.
In addition to these standout PR performances, Maggie Barnett, Maddie Lezark, Malayna Howett, Alexis Reece, and Mackenzie Langhorn all posted season-best times. Kaylyn Hershberger and Andrice Simfukwe also added to the team's success with PRs of their own.
