The Tiger baseball team made an early exit from the postseason, losing in the opening round of the Penn Sectional Thursday night 7-0.
Warsaw had beaten the Raiders twice during the regular season as part of their 14-game win streak that helped them to their first Northern Lakes Conference title in eight years.
The Tigers only managed 2 hits all night against Northridge pitching--a double by Austin Polk and a single by Wyatt Stapleton. The first six batters in the Tiger lineup went 0-16 at the plate.
Meanwhile the Raiders broke the ice with a run in the top of the first, and the score remained 1-0 until the fateful 5th. In the 5th frame, Northridge scored 5 runs to put the game out of reach. They would tack on their final run in the 7th.
Warsaw ends their season winning 15 of their last 17 games.
