Tiger Baseball Loses Heartbreaker at Goshen

A bases loaded walk in the bottom of the 6th scored the winning run in a 2-1 win for Goshen at home over the Tigers.

Reed Nelson was terrific again on the mound, pitching 5 innings and allowing just 3 hits while striking out 2. But 2 hits and 2 walks off Kellan Bailey in the 6th gave the RedHawks what turned out to be the game-winning run.

The Tigers only managed 7 baserunners in 7 innings, getting 2 base hits, drawing 4 base on balls and 1 hit-by-pitch. Still, Warsaw had two men on in the top of the 7th down by a run, but they couldn't push across the equalizer.

The Hawks swept the regular season series with the Tigers, but they could meet in the sectional at Northridge at the end of the month.
