Baseball Changes Locations, Beats Concord

Rain forced Warsaw and Concord to move their game Friday from Tiger Field to Concord, but it was well worth the trip.

Warsaw posted a 16-1 win over the Minutemen.

After a terrific start against Leo in game 2 of last Saturday's doubleheader, Coach Andy Manes gave the ball to So. Reed Nelson to start the game and once again he delivered.

Nelson pitched 5 innings, allowing only an unearned run on 4 hits while fanning 4 and walking 2.

Leading 6-1 at the end of 5, the Tigers plated 10 in the top of the 6th to put the game away.

Jette Woodward was 3-5 with a double, scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Josh Shapiro walked 3 times and scored 3 runs. Kellen Bailey had two hits, and 7 different Tigers had at least one hit.

Because the location for this game was switched to Dunlap, Warsaw will now host Concord May 15th.
