Warsaw earned a split of their Saturday doubleheader against Leo at Tiger Field Saturday.
The Lions took game 1 by a score of 12-4, and the Tigers claimed game 2 by an 8-2 count.
In the first game, Warsaw drew 8 walks but only managed 5 hits. Khareus Miller had two of the five Tiger hits.
In game two, Reed Nelson went 5 2/3 innings, scattering seven hits and only allowing one run. After a week where the Tigers had three conference games in four days and knowing they will have five more games next week, Nelson's call up from the JV Black squad and performance was just what Coach Andy Manes was looking for.
