Tiger Boys Advance to Sectional Final

Balanced scoring and a strong third quarter once again proved a winning formula in Warsaw's 59-51 sectional semifinal win over Goshen Friday night at North Side Gym.

Parker Justice scored 12 points for the third time this season to match his career high. Robbie Finlinson and Brandt Martin each scored 11, and Mydin Burgher chipped in 10 to push the Tigers to their 24th win in 28 games and put them into Saturday night's championship game.

With the Tigers leading by 10 heading into the 4th, the Redhawks scored the first 4 points of the final period. But a mistake in alignment in their full court press coverage left Justice open at the other end for a wide-open 3-pointer to push the lead back to 9 points. Goshen was never able to recover.

Warsaw plays Northridge in the sectional final. The Tigers and Raiders were tied for 9th in the final AP 4A poll earlier this week. The winner plays the Michigan City sectional winner in the one-game regional next Saturday.
