In a thrilling showdown at Fisher Field, Warsaw Tiger Unified Flag Football pounced all over Wawasee 52-44, with the help of some dazzling quarterback magic. Even local celebrity coach David Wayne made an appearance on the sideline to cheer the Tigers to victory.
Carson Gould, Elijah Wright, and Chase Nichter dazzled fans with their pinpoint passes and lightning-fast footwork on nearly every offensive play. Nichter's throws had more zip than a soda can on a hot day, while Gould's catches were so impressive that even the referees considered giving him a standing ovation.
On the defensive side, Mason Anderson, Nathan Nette, and Ben Slabach were like human brick walls, stopping Wawasee in their tracks. Every time Wawasee thought they had a play, these three swooped in like superheroes to save the day. Amber Whitaker and Braylie Chastain also got in the act by chasing down Warrior runners and pulling flags like it was their job.
When asked about his performance in the first half Nichter said, "I've got IT tonight." Who could argue?
With performances like this from Nichter, Anderson, Nette, and Slabach, it's clear that Warsaw isn't just playing flag football—they're putting on a show!
The Tigers are back in action Wednesday night in their final home game versus Tippy Valley. Kickoff is at 6:30PM.
