With both teams firing on all cylinders, it was another offensive explosion at Andrews Field Wednesday night.
In the first half, quarterback Elijah Wright dodged at least four Northwood defenders in the backfield before finding Chase Nichter on a 43 yard shoestring catch for a touchdown- the most memorable play of this young season. Nichter said, "Nothing was going to stop me tonight. The pass was a little off- I knew I had to make that catch to keep us in the game. I do what I do."
Ben Slabach would later score on the first drive of the second half keeping the Tiger hopes alive. But the Panther offense proved too much as the Tigers fell 76-71. Â
Warsaw was led with multi-touchdowns performance by Carson Gould and Elijah Wright.Â
The Tigers are back in action on Monday as they head to Goshen. Â
