Tiger Baseball Tacks on Two More Wins to Streak, Takes Fairfield Tournament

Make it a "baker's dozen" for the win streak for the Warsaw Tiger baseball team after winning the four-way tournament at Fairfield Saturday.

Warsaw beat Fairfield 4-1 in the semifinals and Frankfort in the final 12-5 for their 12th and 13th straight wins.

In game one, Zac Miller went 5 innings while allowing 3 hits and an unearned run. Brandt Martin pitched the final 2 innings and struck out 1.

Logan O'Malley, Grady Nelson and Hunter Dippon all had 2 hits.

GAME 1 BOX SCORE

In the championship game, Warsaw scored 7 times in the 3rd inning to put themselves in the winner's circle against the Hot Dogs.

Khareus Miller was 4-5 at the plate, scoring twice and driving in a run. Hunter Dippon was 3-4 and scored twice, and Quinton Brock was 3-4 and scored twice

Warsaw pounded out 15 hits against the Dogs.

The 12 runs was more than enough for Tiger pitchers Brock Bowser, Corbin Johnston and Oliver Nisen, who combined to allow only 3 earned runs on 5 hits for the afternoon.

Warsaw has now won 13 straight heading into their final week of the regular season, which will be a busy one. They play four games, all at home, starting with a potential outright NLC championship-clinching game against Concord Monday night at 5:30.
