A 9-run 1st inning followed by a 7-run 2nd was more than enough to put the Tiger baseball team on a path to win at Plymouth Friday 18-6 in 5 innings.
Warsaw jumped out to the 9-0 lead after the first half inning, but saw the Pilgrims answer with 6 runs of their own in the bottom half of the frame.
But the big second inning response by the visitors secured the victory.
Kharaeus Miller went 2-4 in the leadoff spot, scoring 3 times and and driving in 4. Cohen Heady was 3-4 with a homer and drove in 5. Wyatt Stapleton and Logan Kim each had two hits.
The bottom four hitters in the Tiger batting order scored 7 runs on the night.
Brandt Martin pitched all five innings, allowing 5 earned runs and 3 walks while striking out 6.
