The Lady Tiger softball team built a 7-1 lead through 5 innings and held off a late push by Goshen to win their first win of the season 7-6 at the Tiger Athletic Complex.
Warsaw pounded out 11 hits, of which 3 belonged to Mia Rodriguez, who also scored twice and drove in 3 runs from the lead-off spot in the order.
Addyson Eastwood pitched a complete game for the Lady Tigers, surrendering 6 runs (5 earned) on 12 hits and making the RedHawks put the ball in play.
"It was a great win for the girls," said a happy head coach Samantha Tew. "They rallied together and played as a unit tonight."
