Softball Wins Home Opener Over Jimtown

For the second straight games to start the season, the Lady Tiger Softball team found itself down 2-0 early in the game.

But Tuesday night's response to that deficit was very different than Monday's.

Trailing 2-0 after half an inning, Warsaw tied the game with 2 of their own in the bottom of the first and powered to a 13-6 win over Jimtown at the Tiger Athletic Complex.

Addison Eastwood went the distance inside the circle, allowing 5 earned runs on 9 hits while striking out 4 and walking 4.

The top of the Lady Tiger lineup set the table for the offensive explosion. Freshman leadoff hitter Reagan Robinson went 3-4 and scored 3 runs and second-place hitter Mia Rodriguez was 3-3 with a walk and scored four times.

It was the first coaching win for new Head Coach Hilary Kiser.
