Baseball Blows Out Redhawks in Goshen

The varsity baseball team pushed their record to 2-0 with a dominating 13-1 win at Goshen Wednesday. 

The Tiger offense generated 12 hits, but also drew 7 walks and were added by 5 Goshen miscues in the field. Logan O'Malley continues to produce at the plate, going 3-4 at the plate with 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored. All three of his hits were doubles. Hunter Dippon also went 3-4 and drove in a run and Kellan Bailey also had two hits. 

Zac Miller got the start for the Tigers, throwing six innings of three-hit baseball, allowing only one unearned run while striking out 7 and walking a pair. 

Bailey came out to get the final three outs--all on strike outs.

WARSAW JV 13- GOSHEN 3
The bottom of the lineup helped Warsaw Junior Varsity Tigers capture a 13-3 victory over Goshen JV on Wednesday at Goshen Little League. Zack Reneker, AJ Hepler, and Brody Heady combined for four of the team's eight hits in the victory. They scored two runs and drove in five.

The Tigers won thanks in part to eight runs in the second inning.  Reneker singled, scoring two runs, Andrew Kerschner drew a walk, scoring one run, Gavin Schultz grounded out, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, and Hepler singled, scoring two runs.

Warsaw added one run in the third, when Cash Espinosa was struck by a pitch, making the score 9-3.

Chris Stenoish earned the win for Warsaw Junior Varsity Tigers. The right-handed pitcher allowed three hits and three runs (one earned) over five innings, striking out one and walking three.

Hepler led the JV Tigers with four runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup, going 2-for-3 on the day. Heady and Alex Brooks each stole multiple bases for Warsaw, and the Tigers combined to steal 11 bases in the game.

The Tigers will travel to Plymouth JV for their next game on Friday.
