Lady Tiger Wrestling Captures 9th in Season-Opening Invite

The Warsaw Lady Tiger Wrestling team had a strong showing in their first event of the season. Warsaw entered six wrestlers into the tournament and scored well enough to earn a 9th place finish in the field of 33 teams at the East Noble Invitational.

Kynna Yoder, Natalie Davis, and Kaiah Long each brought home medals as the Tigers had 3 bracket champions to lead the way.

Yoder won all 5 matches by pin to lead the team in tournament scoring.

Davis was also 5-0, picking up 3 wins by pin.

Long made a huge impact on her first day on the mat as she picked up 4 wins by pin.

Mariana Castro's four wins were all by pin without giving up a point. She finished second with a narrow loss by decision.

Emily Dawson notched 3 wins, one in overtime to finish third.

Tahlia Feller rounded out the action for the Tigers with a solid performance in her first competition.

The Lady Tiger Wrestlers will travel to Rochester next weekend for another tournament opportunity.
