The Warsaw Lady Tiger Wrestling team had a strong showing in their first event of the season. Warsaw entered six wrestlers into the tournament and scored well enough to earn a 9th place finish in the field of 33 teams at the East Noble Invitational.
Kynna Yoder, Natalie Davis, and Kaiah Long each brought home medals as the Tigers had 3 bracket champions to lead the way.
Yoder won all 5 matches by pin to lead the team in tournament scoring.
Davis was also 5-0, picking up 3 wins by pin.
Long made a huge impact on her first day on the mat as she picked up 4 wins by pin.
Mariana Castro's four wins were all by pin without giving up a point. She finished second with a narrow loss by decision.
Emily Dawson notched 3 wins, one in overtime to finish third.
Tahlia Feller rounded out the action for the Tigers with a solid performance in her first competition.
The Lady Tiger Wrestlers will travel to Rochester next weekend for another tournament opportunity.
