The Warsaw Lady Tiger varsity soccer side opened their conference schedule in dominant fashion Tuesday night, defeating the Plymouth Rockies 5-0.

Plymouth came out determined to keep Warsaw off the board, as "defend at all costs" mentality began at the kickoff. Warsaw spent most of the first half manipulating Plymouth's defense while maintaining possession. Finally with 14:00 left in the first half, Zoe Bergan placed a free kick over the goalkeeper and onto the head of Sarah Kratzsch, who's header found the back of the net. Warsaw took the 1-0 lead into halftime.

The second half continued in similar fashion, with Warsaw patiently moving the ball while taking several shots on goal. Warsaw's patience would pay off, as Zoe Bergan's goall part way through the second half would open up the floodgates. Warsaw would go on to score four second-half goals to break the game open. Lola Pepper would finish the night with two goals, while Bonnie Hampton, Zoe Bergan, and Sarah Kratzsch would contribute the other three. Rylee Burns would lead the assist category for the Tigers with two, while Zoe Bergan, Rachel Koorey, and Jordan Love would each contribute one a piece. When the dust settled,

Warsaw managed to take 37 shots, while Plymouth never registered a shot.

With the win, the Tigers move to 2-2 and 1-0 in the NLC. They will return to action Thursday night as they host Northwood High School. Kickoff is set for 7:15pm at the Tiger Soccer Complex.
