Warsaw's boys basketball team went on the road to open NLC play Friday night and came home with a 63-40 win at Wawasee.
The Tigers jumped out to a 12-0 lead and were never seriously challenged after that.
Jaxson Gould, coming off the bench for the first time this season, led the way with 23 points and 4 assists. Drew Heckaman added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists.
Warsaw shot 25-42 from the field (59%) and 7-14 from 3pt-range for the game, including 12-18 FG in the second half. The Tigers outrebounded the Warriors by 10 and only committed 7 turnovers in 32 minutes.
Warsaw (3-2, 1-0 NLC) will play SB St. Joe at Grace College in the Champions of Character Classic at Grace College Satruday night at about 6pm.
