Warsaw's girls basketball team won the Frankfort 4A Semi-state Saturday by beating McCutcheon in the semifinals and then knocking off #1 and previously unbeaten Hamilton Southeastern in the championship.

Warsaw jumped out to a 19-0 first quarter lead on the way to their 25th win of the season.
Joslyn Bricker scored 15 points in that quarter to help Warsaw to a 22-5 lead that they never reliquished. She finished with a career high 35 points--her second games of over 30 points in this year's tournament.
Brooke Zartman added 11.
Warsaw 67- Hamilton Southeastern 61
Warsaw punched their ticket to the state championship game by beating the Royals in the semi-state final.
Warsaw led for most of the first two quarters, but a strong third quarter by HSE put the Lady Tigers down 47-41 heading into the fourth.
Brooke Winchester's two free throws lift Warsaw to a one-point lead at 56-55, and the Lady Tigers led the rest of the way.
With Bricker and Winchester out with fouls, Zartman took over in the game's final minute. She made 8 of 9 free throws to put the game in the bank.
The Lady Tigers finished 24-25 from the free throw line for the game.
Zartman finished with 25 points, Winchester scored 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Bricker scored 18--giving her 53 points for the day.
Warsaw will play Lawrence North for the 4A State championship Saturday at 8:15pm and Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
