With 2:30 left to play, Warsaw found itself down 57-50 to Nortthridge in the Tiger Den Friday night.
Coach
Matt Moore's message was "keep attacking the basket and hang in there."
They did just that, and turned it into a 14-2 run from that point on in a 64-59 win over the Raiders.
The big sequence came on a missed layup attempt by the Raiders with less than a minute to play, followed by a Brandt Martin 3-pointer that put Warsaw up by one with 44 seconds to play.
The Tigers repelled several opportunities for Northridge in the final half minute to give them their 10th win of the season (10-3) and the Raiders their first loss of the season (10-1).
Brandt Martin hit 6 3-pointers and finished with a career-high 27 points, including 11 in the final quarter.
Luke Bricker added 18, with 8 coming in the fourth quarter.
The junior varsity lost a heart-breaker, falling to Northridge 39-37
