The Warsaw Freshman football team traveled to Middlebury to face conference foe, Northridge in their season opener and impressed on both sides of the ball in a 50-20 win at Interra Field.
The Tigers opened the scoring on a Colton Beard 39 yard touchdown run off the pitch.
Brady Sauer had three touchdown runs of 75, 40 and 2 yards respectively.
Jamison Parker ran 2 touchdowns from the fullback position, a 75 yard scamper and a 2 yard dive.
Ethan Sinclair capped off the scoring with a 90 yard toss to complete the win for the Tigers.
Kendrick Stookey lead the tenacious defense with several tackles and an interception. Kevin Menchaca recovered a fumble and Rock Lambert had a batted ball on a big third down stop.
