The Lady Tiger track & field squad captured a regional championship Tuesday.

The Lady Tigers arrived to Kokomo with something to prove and an unwavering goal to bring back the regional champion trophy to Warsaw which was evident by the unified performances of each individual and relay team competing. Warsaw would have multiple athletes and a relay team finish with a top 3 performance earning an opportunity for advancement to the IHSAA State Championship held at IU Bloomington next Friday, March 31, 2024.

The Lady Tigers claiming individual regional champion titles were Camryn Burner in the 100m dash, Joey Rastrelli in both the 1600m and 800m run, and Maggie Barnett in the Pole Vault.

Lady Tigers placing 3rd individually were Annabele Parker in the 300 hurdles, Eden Metz was in the 800m run, and Elli Transparenti in the Pole Vault. Along with the 4 x 100m relay team consisting of Anna Stevens, Addison Williams, Claire Walters, and Camryn Burner. 

Additional performances not resulting in advancement to the state finals but majorly contributing to the overall team score and collective title were as follows:

Abbi Kohler with a 7th place finish in shot put.
Anna Mellentine with a 12th place finish in high jump.
Claire Sprankle with an 11th place finish in long jump.
Relay team consisting of Sammi Rastrelli, Ella Laput, Elizabeth VanderBie and Hannah Fisher with a 6th place finish in the 4x800m.
Camryn Burner with a 7th place finish in the 200m dash.
Annie Parker with a 6th place finish in the 100m hurdles. 
Ella Laput with a 13th place finish in the 1600m run.
Melayna Howett with a 15th place finish in the 300m hurdles.
Sammi Rastrelli with a 8th place finish in the 3200m run.
Relay team consisting of Maddie Smalley, Ella Laput, Eden Metz and Joey Rastrelli with a 4th place finish in the 4x400m.
