The Warsaw girls softball team came up just short of a big win Tuesday, falling to Columbia City 6-3 in 8 innings at the Tiger Athletic Complex.
Warsaw tied the game at 3-3 with a single run in the bottom of the 5th, but the Eagles scored 3 times in the 8th to win.
Kalista Ousley 5 2/3 innings of shutout softball in relief until the 8th to take the tough-luck loss. She also drove in 2 of Warsaw's 3 runs on 2 of their 5 hits.Nekiana Hamilton also had 2 base hits.
Both teams played error-free softball.
