The Lady Tiger basketball team set a school record with 15 3-pointers in a 79-36 win over Mishawaka in the Tiger Den Wednesday night.
Warsaw jumped out to a 24-11 lead after one quarter, 18 of those points coming on six 3-pointers.
Before it was over, the Lady Tigers had hit 15 of 30 shots from distance, breaking the record of 13 they set at Mishawaka last season.
Brooke Zartman hit four 3-pointers in that first quarter and finished with seven for the game and a career-high 27 points. She has hit 57 "3's" for the season and is nine away from tying her own school record for made 3-pointers in a season. It was the second time this season she had seven in a game--the other was at Merrillville back in November.
Brooke Winchester and Joslyn Bricker each added 14 points for the Lady Tigers (10-7, 5-0), who are two NLC wins away from a third straight conference championship.
One of those two remaining NLC games is scheduled for Saturday at Goshen. JV tip time in 6:15.
The junior varsity won 51-6, led by Cayleigh Goheen's 20 points and 6 rebounds.
