Warsaw's varsity football win at Plymouth Friday carried a lot less drama than in their first two games of the season.
The Tigers drove away from the Blueberry Festival grounds with a 41-7 win over the Rockies, running their overall record to 3-0.
Plymouth scored on a 12-play, 80-yard drive that took of 5:58 of the opening quarter to begin the game. But the Tigers answered with a score of their own on the next possession and never looked back.
The Tigers ground game attacked the edges of the Rockies' defense, and ran for a season-high 343 yards and five touchdowns.
The highlight of the night was a school-record-breaking 52-yard field goal by Mason Smythe in the 3rd quarter, breaking the old record of 51 set by Jake Rogers, Andrew Mevis and Harrison Mevis.
After a road scrimmage and three straight road games to start the season, the Tigers come home for Alumni Night next Friday against Concord at Fisher Field. Kickoff is 7pm. Get more information on events surrounding Alumni Night by clicking
