The freshman girls basketball team defeated Valpo 38-30 Wednesday night.

Coach Lauren Weldy said afterward "we had a bit of a rocky start. We quickly got into foul trouble and struggled against their 1-3-1 defense. We made some adjustments and had better ball movement in the 2nd half." 

Cara Holland had 16 points and Ellyse Walters had 11.
