Girls Blow Out Goshen, Secure Share of NLC Title

The Lady Tiger varsity basketball team guaranteed themselves at least a share of a second-straight NLC championship with a convincing 63-27 win over Goshen in the TIger Den Saturday night.

A 17-0 run that bridged the last three minutes of the first quarter and most of the second turned into a 26-9 run over the last 11 minutes of the first half put the game over of reach.

The Lady Tigers shot 54% from the field in the first half and backed that up with 11-17 FG shooting after halftime to bump their record 15-4 overall and 6-0 in the NLC. It marks the first time since the 2003 and 2004 seasons that Warsaw will get at least a share of the NLC crown in consecutive campaigns.

The Lady Tigers can claim an outright conference title with a win at Concord Saturday (6:15 JV start).

Warsaw was led by Fr. Joslyn Bricker's 17 points, Alexis Neely's 12 points and Abbey Peterson's 11 points and 5 rebounds.
