The Lady Tigers won their first girls basketball sectional in nine years with a 71-54 win over Northridge Saturday night in the Tiger Den.

Warsaw won their 23rd game of the season, and advanced to the the one-game regional next Saturday.

Joslyn Bricker scored a career-high 34 points on 15-19 shooting, including 4-5 from 3-poount range. She missed the school record for points in a game by 3--Jaclyn Leininger scored 37 in a game in Chicago in January of 2004.

It was a point game at halftime, but Warsaw outscored Northridge 25-14 in the third quarter and put the game out of reach.

The win was also Lenny Krebs's first sectional title as head coach in 22 seasons.
