Marion Runs By Tigers at Lakeview

Marion shot the lights out in the "Old Tiger Den" to beat the Tigers 76-66 Tuesday night. 

The Giants shot 33-51 from the field for the game (65%) and 10-19 from beyond the arch, which compares to their 44% shooting and 31% from the arch over the first 17 games of their season. 

The Tigers found themselves down 17-7 just 4:18 into the game, but fought their way back to even at 32-32 at half time on a tip in by Luke Yeager. 

The Tigers fell behind 8 in the third, and worked their way back to within 2 points at the end of the 3rd quarter. 

But Marion dominated the final quarter to the tune of a 24-16 period to salt away the win. 

The loss put a wet blanker on Robbie Finlinson's big night, Finlinson had a career high 23 points on 5-9 shootng from the arch. Luke Bricker added 18. 

The Tiger JV won their seventh straight with a 38-27 win over Marion. Parker Justice led Warsaw with 7 points and 3 rebounds. 

Warsaw will host Plymouth in the conference finale Friday night, and between games the 1984 state champion boys basketball team will be celebrated in the 40th anniversary of their championship season.
