Gabby Gates's layup with :02.1 left pushed Northridge past Warsaw 57-55 in the opening game of the sectional at Northridge Tuesday. 

Warsaw had the lead for a large share of the game, but Northridge took the lead on the layup by Gates off penetration by and a feed from Morgan Cross as time was winding down. 

It spoiled an all-time great effort from Jr. Brooke Winchester, who scored a career high 22 points and grabbed a career-high 19 rebounds. In two games against the Lady Raiders this season, she scored 38 points and pulled down 33 rebounds. 

The Lady Tigers' season ends with a record of 14-8 and a third consecutive NLC championship. 

This team also broke the school record for 3-pointers made in a season with 202, eclipsing the old mark of 195 set last season.
