It was another huge first quarter that lifted the Warsaw Lady Tigers to a first round sectional win at Concord over the host school in a 61-21 win Tuesday night.
10 days after scoring a school record 37 points in the opening period against the Minutemen, Warsaw jumped out to a 26-3 lead after eight minutes to put the game out of reach.
Fr. Brooke Zartman hit four of her six three-point field goals in the decisive first quarter, setting a new school record for "3's" in a season at 64. She finished with 22 points.
Classmate Joslyn Bricker added 13 in her first postseason game, while fellow freshman Alexis Neely grabbed 10 rebounds.
Warsaw will square off with Elkhart for the second time in 10 days in the second semi-final Friday at Concord. Game time is approximately 7:30pm.
