Tiger Tennis Cuts Ribbon on New Home

The new home for Warsaw tennis is officially open for business. 

Athletic department leadership, high school and corporation administrators and school board members joined the Warsaw boys tennis team and members of the girls team at the ribbon-cutting for the brand new Tiger Tennis Complex at Warsaw Community High School Wednesday afternoon. 

Later, Warsaw hosted Huntington North in the first official match at the new facility located in the southwestern corner of the WCHS property. The 10 new courts sit directly south of the softball diamonds and directly west of the "S Building" near the football field. 

The girls tennis team was able to hold a few practice on the new courts in preparation for their appearance in the semi-state in the spring, the facility was not completed until after their last home match. . 

The new courts replace the aging courts northwest of the T-RAC. They were the original home for Tiger Tennis since the high school was built more than 30 years ago. .
