Lady Tigers Fall to Columbia City

The highly-anticipated girls basketball matchup between Warsaw and Columbia City went to the visitors.

The Lady Eagles posted a 68-59 win over the Lady Tigers Tuesday--their first win in the Tiger Den since the 2002 sectional.

Columbia City used an 11-0 run in the first quarter to gain control of the game, and although Warsaw got to within five points on a couple of occasions, they were never able to gain the upper hand.

Warsaw was led by Brooke Zartman's 17, Abbey Peterson's 14 and Brooke Winchester's 12.

The Lady Tigers fall to 9-3 on the season.

The Lady Tiger Junior Varsity was a winner over Columbia City 40-34 to improve to 7-5. Kelsey Wrenn finished with 12 points to lead Warsaw.

Both teams host Wawasee Saturday. JV action is scheduled for 3pm.
